Sommer Panage

Aerial Artist & Instructor

About

With over two decades suspended in the air, Sommer has carved a journey through the world of aerial arts, specializing in the fierce elegance of rope and silks. A performer and coach of rare depth, Sommer has taken stages with Acrobatic Conundrum, Hubba Hubba Revue, and Cirque de la Luna, captivating audiences with emotionally resonant performances that tell powerful, personal stories.

Trained under the meticulous eyes of renowned aerialists Jeremy Sheets, Alex Alan, and Terry Crane, Sommer’s artistry is deeply shaped by the philosophies of martial arts and the study of the human psyche. She believes in the value of “making bad art”—that creation is a skill honed through practice and experimentation, unbound by perfection. This philosophy fuels her own work and invites her students to explore their craft with boldness and honesty.

Now based in Oslo, Norway, Sommer continues to share her practice through performance and creative exploration. While currently taking a pause from formal teaching, she remains dedicated to the same values that shaped her coaching: resilience, creativity, and self-discovery through aerial movement. Her work blends grounded strength with the art of flight, inviting audiences into stories that rise from the ropes and silks.
